Synopsis: It’s all fun and parties until someone falls in love in this modern fairy tale from author Kate Evangelista.

Caleb desperately needs a fake girlfriend. Either he attends a series of parties for his father’s law firm with a pretty girl on his arm, or he gets shipped off to Yale to start a future he’s not ready for and isn’t sure he wants. And sadly, the last unattached girl in his social circle has just made the grievous mistake of falling in love with him. Fortunately, Didi, recently fired waitress and aspiring painter, is open to new experiences. As the summer ticks by in a whirl of lavish parties, there’s only one rule: They must not fall in love!

Another Swoon Reads that I have my hands on! Swoon Reads publishes some of the best books for young adults. With that being said, this book reminds me of another book from Swoon Reads. It’s called The Way to Game the Walk of Shame. The way these books start is that they have characters with fake relationships. Even though they’re alike in that way, No Love Allowed kept me flipping through the pages. It was a quick read!

The title is contradictory to what’s actually in the book. Typical for YA. If you thought there was “no love allowed” in the book then you will be disappointed. This contradiction is obvious because it didn’t take long for the main characters to like each other.
